I kissed this guy and its so awkward at school and im ashamed.?

My friends guy friend and i kissed when i was drunk, I leaned into him when i was drunk and he surprisingly kissed me. I sorta kissed him back too but pushed him away quickly.He wanted me to come back to his rez (I'm in uni) but i said no ,this is my first time ever kissing a stranger and i feel really ashamed. The next morning i was in the caf with my friends and him and his friends were at a distance in front of us and they all looked back at me and they were smirking. But he never turned back. It really made me feel weird and awkward. Why would he tell his friends? it was just a quick kiss.
